Background
Lakisha Montgomery is the primary care provider at Anchor Restorative Medicine — and for the patients who see her, she's often the provider they didn't know they were looking for. With dual board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she brings a rare combination of clinical expertise and human warmth to every visit. She treats mental health, women's health, and primary care not as separate disciplines, but as interconnected pieces of one person's story.
Her path into healthcare was personal. She began caring for her mother, who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, at a young age — and that experience shaped everything about how she shows up for patients today. She advanced from Licensed Vocational Nurse (2004) to Registered Nurse (2013) to Family Nurse Practitioner (2019) to post-master's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (2025), earning each credential while working full-time and raising her family. That perseverance isn't incidental — it reflects exactly who she is.
